VAEYI FIBER OPTIC EQUIPMENT

FA-16 3-in-1 Fusion Splicer

Overview

FA-16 is a compact 3-in-1 fusion splicer with an integrated optical power meter and visual fault locator. Its FPGA + ARM architecture, automatic fiber identification and autofocus support everyday installation and maintenance work. A 3.97-inch touch display and built-in work light provide a clear view of the splice area.

Key Features

  • Splice and check with one instrument: integrated fusion splicing, OPM and 650 nm VFL functions.
  • Automatic alignment: core, cladding and automatic-identification alignment with autofocus and 100× image magnification.
  • Efficient workflow: specified 9-second splicing and 25-second sleeve heating, with customizable fusion and heating modes.
  • Portable operation: 740 g body and 3,200 mAh battery, rated for up to 300 splice-and-heat cycles per charge.
  • On-device records: store up to 300 splice results directly on the instrument.

Fiber Compatibility & Preparation

Designed for single fibers with 125 μm cladding and 250 μm coating, including SM G.652, MM G.651, DS G.653, NZDS G.655 and BIF/UBIF G.657. Prepare a clean, properly cleaved fiber with a 14–30 mm cleave length. The heater accepts 40–60 mm protection sleeves. Confirm your fiber, holder and process requirements with VAEYI before ordering a configuration for a particular job.
