VAEYI FIBER OPTIC EQUIPMENT

BLM-350 Fiber Optic Ball Lens Machine

Overview

The BLM-350 Fiber Optic Ball Lens Machine forms spherical micro-lenses on fiber end faces using dual-electrode arc discharge. Developed by Nanjing Vaeyi Technology, it brings fiber feeding, rotation, autofocus imaging and diameter inspection into one touchscreen-operated system for fiber component production and research.

Key Features

  • Closed-loop diameter control: built-in imaging and circle-fitting measure the formed sphere; rotational checks compare profiles at 0° and 90° to support diameter and shape assessment.
  • Integrated operation: a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen, camera and control electronics operate without an external host PC or industrial camera.
  • Multi-stage arc profiles: pre-cleaning, forming, shaping and annealing stages have adjustable voltage, current and duration.
  • Process recipes: a built-in library and self-learning parameter correction support setup for the selected fiber and target diameter.
  • Batch traceability: before/after images, arc parameters, measurement results and timestamps are recorded, with batch report export.
  • Replaceable consumables: field-replaceable electrodes and V-groove fixtures support maintenance.

Fiber & Process Requirements

The specified process covers single-mode and multimode fibers with 125 ± 1 μm cladding and 250 μm coating, stripped as required. The target sphere diameter is 150–350 μm. Confirm fiber material, coating preparation, target diameter and component requirements before setting a production recipe.
