Overview
PX-1 is an MPO/MTP fiber arranging tool for organizing and securing multiple fibers during patch cord production. A machined aluminum body, straight guide channel and clamping assembly help keep fibers in sequence during threading, routing and MT ferrule assembly.
Key Features
- Machined aluminum body: a durable all-metal construction for repeated workshop handling.
- Straight fiber guide: a recessed channel between raised rails helps organize fibers in sequence.
- Clamping assembly: a metal clamp and pressure strip hold one end of the fibers during preparation and assembly.
- Hanging storage: a metal ball-chain lanyard supports convenient storage beside a workbench or equipment rack.
- Laser-marked identification: brand and model markings remain easy to identify.
- Rounded edges: chamfered transitions provide comfortable handling around the fibers.
Fiber Arrangement & Workflow
The supplied material specifies use with 8, 12, 16, 24 and 48-fiber MPO workflows. Arrange the fibers in the required sequence along the guide and secure one end with the clamp and pressure strip for the next assembly operation.
Confirm the fiber format and handling requirements for your process. PX-1 is an arrangement and holding tool; fiber coating removal, cleaving, polishing and testing are separate workflow steps.
